• Sean Drew Williams made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The contempt hearing is set for 9:30 a.m on Aug. 2. Bond is set for $1,000 cash or surety. Following the court proceedings, Williams made some remarks to the court that resulted in a fine of six consecutive days in jail for contempt of court. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Alexander Tase Quintana made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 28 in Magistrate Court.

• Maria Roxana Saldivar Juarez failed to appear for a no insurance charge, an operating without registration charge and a driving under suspension charge. The court found her guilty on all charges. The fine on the no insurance is $325 with a 48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75. The fine on the operating without registration is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court for a total of $135.50. The fine for the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Nolan Durrell Walker failed to appear on a public intoxication charge and the court found Walker guilty. The fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Vanessa A. Gomez made an initial appearance on a fireworks violation charge. Gomez pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

Incidents

• On Wednesday, July 17, a theft of a motor vehicle was reported in the 3300 mile of 330th Street in Gilman.

Arrests

• On Saturday, July 13, an SUV driven by Hari Pavan Yadlapalli, 26, of Little Elm, Texas, was northbound on Highway 330 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway from the east ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Yadlapalli SUV was estimated at $4,000.

• On Saturday, July 13, a car driven by Klo Wah Hsi, 19, of Marshalltown, was northbound on Wallace Avenue when it a deer entered the roadway from the west ditch resulting in the driver swerving to miss the deer. The car left the roadway and entered the east ditch. No injuries were reported. Hsi was issued a citation for failure to maintain control. Damage to the Hsi car was estimated at $8,500.

• On Tuesday, July 2, an SUV driven by Roger Benton Coffelt Jr., 49, of Eldora, was northbound on Marsh Avenue when it struck a deer resulting in significant front end and windshield damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Coffelt SUV was estimated at $6,000.
