• On Monday, July 22, Ronald Oliver, 73, was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

Accidents

• On Saturday, July 20, a car driven by a 17-year-old female from State Center was northbound on Cooper Avenue when it struck a deer that jumped onto the roadway from the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the car was estimated at $2,500.
