• Chad Alan Lavender made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Lavender is being held without bond.
• Richard Leroy Roop made an initial appearance on an eluding charge, a possession of a controlled substance-second offense charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, a public intoxication charge, a speeding charge, two counts of a driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway charge, two counts of a failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way charge, a no insurance charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 30. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Alexis Kaylynn Reeves made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Benjamin Harris-Medina is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 18 in Magistrate Court.
• Karla Pinales Torres made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge and a driving under suspension charge. Pinales Torres pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the no insurance is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75. The fine on the driving under suspension charge is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
• Robert Dustyn James Nixon made an initial appearance on a dark window or windshield charge and a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 18 in Magistrate Court.
• Yariel Ellis Feliciano made an initial appearance on a possession of cannabidoil-first offense, a failure to maintain control charge, a leaving the scene of an accident-property damage only charge and an interference with official acts charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 10. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Justin Jay Tuttle made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Tuttle pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Austin Leo Bollas made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Bollas pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
Aug. 20
• Michael Steven Proffitt made an initial appearance on two counts of a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge, a stalking charge and four counts of a harassment-first degree charge. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Court. Bond is set at $1,000 cash. The preliminary hearing on the stalking and harassment charges is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 30. In both cases a no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Ashley Ruth Johnson made an initial appearance on an interference with official acts charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 11 in Magistrate Court.

• On Tuesday, Aug. 20, Phylicia Quincy, 33, was arrested on a warrant charging her with theft-third degree.
