• Santiago Higinio Diaz Aguirre made an initial appearance on an assault causing bodily injury or mental illness charge. Julie Cutler is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 24. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Dacoda Lee Lawrence made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense charge. Chris Clausen is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 14. Bond is set at $5,000 cash in defendant’s name only. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• David Jonathan Duran made an initial appearance on two counts of a violation of probation: addendum. Mark Olberding is appointed as counsel. The probation: addendum hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Duran is being held without bond.

• Marc Maldonado made an initial appearance on a speeding charge and a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 6 in Magistrate Court.

• Estrella Aurora Landrian Toujaguez made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Landrian Toujaguez pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Ashley Kay Jackson made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Jackson pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Thang Cin made an initial appearance on an unlawful passing of a school bus charge. Cin pleaded guilty and the fine is $345 with a $51.75 surcharge and a $60 in court costs for a total of $456.75.

• Tessla Kae Calvert made an initial appearance on an unlawful passing of a school bus charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 23 in Magistrate Court.

• Michael Eugene Carter made an initial appearance on a theft-second degree charge. Dusty Clements is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is waived. Bond is set at $5,000 cash in defendant’s name only.
