• Lance Mandell Walker made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense charge, and assault on persons in certain occupations charge, a harassment-first degree charge, an interference with official acts charge and a public intoxication charge. • On Friday, Oct. 4, David Duran, 29, was arrested on a warrant charing him with two counts of violation of probation.
• On Friday, Oct. 4, Crystal Cardona, 36, was arrested on a warrant charging her with violation of probation.
Accidents
• On Tuesday, Sept. 24, a car driven by John Manyiel Akoi, 48, of Marshalltown, was westbound on Iowa Avenue West when it struck a deer amid the fog while it was crossing the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Akoi car was estimated at $3,000.
