Arrests

• On Thursday, May 1, Ryan Purdy, 46, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order, domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense and assault committed on person against whom protective order issued.

• On Thursday, May 1, Dillon Knight, 35, was arrested on a warrant charging him with four counts of violation of probation.

Accidents

• On Thursday, May 1, an SUV driven by Robert Roger Cash, 49, of Solon, was eastbound on Highway 30 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway receiving disabling front end damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Cash SUV was estimated at $7,500.

• On Monday, April 28, a van driven by Elizabeth Michelle Templeman, 20, of Newton, was eastbound on Highway 30 at Underwood Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Templeman van was estimated at $7,500.

• On Thursday, May 1, Ernest Nipper, 57, was arrested for operating a non-registered vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana-second offense.

• On Thursday, May 1, Bret Ryan, 58, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Thursday, May 1, Mario Melendez, 49, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Thursday, May 1, Shania Kapayou, 28, was arrested for theft-second degree-motor vehicle theft.

• On Thursday, May 1, James Ivey III, 33, was arrested for domestic abuse assault-strangulation with bodily injury.

• On Thursday, May 1, Kathy Corbin, 73, was arrested for dog at large.
