• Brittany Joeanne Blocker made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The probation revocation hearing is set for 10 a.m. on Oct. 1. Blocker is being held without bond.

Blocker was also seen on a possession of methamphetamine-first offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 5. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel in both cases.

• Shane Francis Peter made an initial appearance on a voluntary absence from custody charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 5. Bond is set at $5,000 cash.

• Justin Lee Harris made an initial appearance on a theft-first degree charge and a reckless driving charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 5. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

• Carlos Yusniel Nunez Batista made an initial appearance on a leaving the scene of an accident charge. Nunez Batista pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Ian Robert Turnbull made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge, a no insurance charge and a speeding charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 8.

• Jace Alan Smith failed to appear on a driving under suspension charge, a no insurance charge, a person under 21 using tobacco or vapor products-first offense charge and an operating a non-registered vehicle charge and the court found him guilty on all charges. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and a $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50. The fine on the no insurance is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and a $55 court costs for a total of $428.75. The fine on the tobacco or vaping product charge is $70 and the fine on the non-registered vehicle is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50.

• Cooper Craig Gilge made an initial appearance on a failure to file a show cause and affidavit charge. Arch Wilson is appointed as counsel. The next hearing is at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 17.
