• Robert Derrick Johns made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-second offense charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 15. Bond is set at $2,000 cash. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Jessica Marie Catron made an initial appearance on two counts of a violation of probation charge. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Catron is being held without bond.

• Gregory Louis Knox made an initial appearance on a voluntary absence from custody charge. Stephen Allison is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 15. Knox is being held without bond.

• Diego Nathanel Murrillo made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. Dusty Clements is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 26.

• A 17-year-old male failed to appear for an initial hearing on a curfew violation charge and the court found him guilty. The fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Joel Jesus Pina made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge. Mark Torche is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 26.

• Madison Sue Swartz made an initial appearance on an assault causing bodily injury or mental illness charge. Jennie Wilson-Moore is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 26.
