• Ryan Wade Purdy made an initial appearance on an assault with a no-contact order in place charge, a domestic abuse assault-third or subsequent offense charge, a domestic abuse assault-impeding the flow of air or blood charge and a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge.Gary Oldenburger is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing on the new charges is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 28. Bond is set at $10,000 cash only. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Alberto Cervantes Jr. made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge, a driving while revoked charge, an operating without registration charge, a no insurance charge and two counts of a driving under suspension charge. Mark Torche is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 28. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.

• Roberto Linares made an initial appearance on a operating non-registered vehicle charge, a driving while barred charge and a driving under suspension charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 5.

• Steven Richard Ames made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. Ames pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Jovana Julia Sofian made an initial appearance on two counts of an assault with intent to cause pain/injury charge. Sofian pleaded guilty and the fine is $210 with a $31.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $301.50.

• Tyler James Dague made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 3 in Magistrate Court.
