• Heather Rose Schrandt AKA Robb made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Robb is being held without bond.

• Ian Niles Kapayou made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge, a operating without interlock charge, a leaving the scene of an accident charge, a failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way charge and two counts of a driving under suspension charge. • Skyler James Metivier made an initial appearance on a sex abuse-third degree charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 6. Bond is set at $10,000 cash. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Logen Mark Porter made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

• Ryan Robert Lindsey made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-first offense charge, a open container charge, a driving or towing an unsafe vehicle charge, a speeding charge and a no insurance charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 16. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Jerry Allen Cripps made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a leaving the scene of a accident-property damage only charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 15 in Magistrate Court.

• Melissa Ann Birch made an initial appearance on a rabies vaccination violation charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 15 in Magistrate Court.

Arrests

• On Thursday, Sept. 25, Ryan Lindsey, 44, was arrested for no insurance-no accident, open container, speeding, driving/towing unsafe vehicle and operating while under the influence-first offense.

• On Thursday, Sept. 25, Candace Jones, 45, was arrested on a warrant charging her with violation of probation.

• On Thursday, Sept. 25, Charleen Breckenridge, 40, was arrested on a warrant charging her with criminal mischief-fourth degree.

Accidents

• On Wednesday, Sept. 24, a car driven by Irvin Tanielu, 30, of Killeen, Texas, was westbound on the Garwin Road when it struck a deer that exited the north ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Tanielu car was estimated at $14,000.

• On Monday, Sept. 22, an SUV driven by Erica Marie Weeces, 47, of Rhodes, was westbound on Lincoln Way when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Weeces SUV was estimated at $5,000.
