• Anistyn Leigh Ayers made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a pre-trial conference ahead of a jury trial charge. The pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Sept. 12 with the jury trial rescheduled for 9 a.m. on Sept. 25. Bond is set at $1,000 cash in defendant’s name only.

• Raymond Walker Demayo Jr. made an initial appearance on a pre-trial release violation charge. Pre-trial release is revoked and the bond is set at $5,000 cash in defendant’s name only.

• Heather Lynn Davis made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The charge was dismissed by the court. The court costs will be assessed by the state.

• Jorge Eduardo Gomez Chavarria made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge, a driving under suspension charge, an operating a non-registered vehicle charge and a no insurance charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 25.

• Dwanna Lynn Engel made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 24 in Magistrate Court.

• Jackson Charles Schlichte made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 25. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Joshua Matthew Portales Jr. failed to appear on a no insurance-accident charge and the court found him guilty. The fine is $645 with a $96.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $796.75.
