Sept. 8
• Refugio Gonzalez made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Gonzalez is being held without bond.
• Marco Antonio Franco Lopez made an initial appearance on an intimidate with a dangerous weapon charge, a domestic abuse assault-first offense charge and an obstruction of emergency communications charge. Jennifer Weaver is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 18. Bond is set at $18,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Lorraine Ruth Bangs made an initial appearance on a failure to obey a traffic control device charge and a driving under suspension charge. Bangs pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the traffic control device violation is $135 with a $20.25 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $210.25. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
• Robert Dalton Massey made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 29. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

Arrests
• On Sunday, Sept. 7, Gustavo Nava, 30, was arrested on a hold order.
Incidents
• On Friday, Sept. 5, a case of vandalism from a gunshot was reported to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office on the Quarry Road. Damage to two windows was valued at $400.
Thefts
• On Monday, Sept. 1, a report of a burglary involving criminal mischief with damage valued at $200 to property and theft from a building valued between $300 – $750 was reported on Wallace Avenue in Gilman.
Accidents
• On Saturday, Sept. 6, an SUV driven by Jody Lee Austin, 48, of Liscomb, was westbound on 190th Street when a deer jumped onto the road from the south ditch and was struck. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Austin SUV was estimated at $20,000.
