• Connor Nicholas Jessen made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Jessen is being held without bond.

• Patrick Todd Aswegan made an initial appearance on a harassment-third degree charge. Julia Cutler is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 17 in Magistrate Court.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Nov. 19, Feliciano Galindo Perez, 31, was arrested for driving while barred-habitual offender and operating while under the influence-third or subsequent offense.

• On Wednesday, Nov. 19, Patrick Aswegan, 58, was arrested for harassment-third degree-personal contact.

• On Wednesday, Nov. 19, Javier Perales, 33, was arrested for lascivious acts with a child-inflict pain/discomfort on child and assault with intent to commit sex abuse.

• On Wednesday, Nov. 19, Ramon Avalos, 35, was arrested on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.

Accidents

• On Sunday, Nov. 16, a pickup driven by Ryan Arthur Thompson, 24, of Gilman, was southbound on Zeller Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway resulting in damage to the bumper and a tire. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Thompson pickup was estimated at $2,000.

• On Sunday, Nov. 16, a car driven by David Lynn Wogan, 65, of Marshalltown, was westbound on Sand Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Wogan car was estimated at $6,000.

• On Sunday, Nov. 16, a pickup driven by Jeffrey Wayne Lewis, 61, of Marshalltown, was southbound on Highway 330 when a group of deer ran across the road from the divided median and the vehicle unavoidably struck the last deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Lewis pickup was estimated at $2,500.

• On Sunday, Nov. 16, a car driven by Emma Mae Rose Anderson, 22, of Baxter, was eastbound on Highway 30 when it struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Anderson car was estimated at $6,000.

• On Friday, Nov. 14, an SUV driven by Melinda Sue Bennett, 39, of Gilman, was eastbound on Highway 30 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Bennett SUV was estimated at $1,500.

• On Wednesday, Nov. 12, a car driven by Skyler Layne Aneweer, 23, of Lincoln, was northbound on Sanford Avenue when the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. There were no injuries reported. Damage to the Aneweer car was estimated at $7,000.

• On Monday, Nov. 10, an SUV driven by William George Vana, 95, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on East Main Street Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Vana SUV was estimated at $8,500.

• On Sunday, Nov. 9, a car driven by Brianna Lanay Witt, 28, of Grinnell, was northbound on Reed Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Witt car was estimated at $9,000.

• On Sunday, Nov. 9, an SUV driven by Mark McNeely Rodgers, 70, of Garwin, was eastbound on East Main Street Road when it struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Rodgers sUV was estimated at $4,000.
