• Nathan Samuel Harned made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Harned is being held without bond.

• Codey Ryan Briley made an initial appearance on a violation of parole charge. Mark Torche is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Briley is being held without bond.

• Jace Antonio Vargas made an initial appearance on an attempted murder charge, a robbery-first degree charge, a going armed with intent charge, a carrying weapons on school grounds charge, a reckless use of firearms-property damage charge, a use of a dangerous weapon in the commission of a crime charge and a theft-fifth degree charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 9, 2026. Bond is set at $100,000 cash. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Max Benjamin Thomasson made an initial appearance on a providing false identification information charge and an interference with official acts charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 21, 2026 in Magistrate Court. Leah Patton is appointed as counsel.

• Cesar Fernando Marroquin made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-second offense charge, a failure to maintain control charge, a striking fixtures on a highway charge, a no insurance-accident charge, an operating a motor vehicle with an expired license charge and a leaving the scene of an accident-property damage charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 16, 2026. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
