• Billy Alfred Edwards Jr. made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a driving under suspension charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 23.

• Martin Espinosa Gonzalez made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. Julia Cutler is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Gonzalez is being held without bond.

• Galen John Pille made an initial appearance on a assault-general charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 17 in Magistrate Court.

• Ramon Avalos made an initial appearance on an eluding charge, a driving while revoked charge, a reckless driving charge, a no insurance charge and two counts of failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way charge. Jennie Wilson-Moore is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is waived.

• Juan Enrique Armenta Guevara made an initial appearance on an assault causing bodily injury or mental illness charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 23. A no-contact order hs been issued for the protected party.

• A 13-year-old male made an initial appearance on a curfew violation charge. The juvenile pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Kristine L. Kienzle made an initial appearance on a civil infraction charge. The defendant was found in default of the citation. The fine is $6,500 with court costs of $347.50 for a total of $6,847.50.
