• Wonder Lamarre made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 18 in Magistrate Court.
• Travis Jacob Rhodes made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-first offense charge. The pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on March 13 with the jury trial set at 9 a.m. on March 26. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• On Monday, Jan. 19, Nathan Buchanan, 50, was arrested on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
Accidents
• On Sunday, Jan. 18, a minivan driven by Lynnette Maxine Sutherland, 61, of Marshalltown, was southbound on Reed Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Sutherland minivan was estimated at $3,000.
