• Nicholas Lee Olivares made an initial appearance on an assault with the intent to inflict pain or injury charge. Patrick Peters is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 30. Bond is set at $5,000 cash.

• Ricky Dale Mayfield Jr. made an initial appearance on a harassment-first degree charge. Tyler Haberman is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 30. Bond is set at $2,000 cash. A no-contact ordere has been issued for the protected party.

• Jovana Julia Sofian made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. Mark Torche is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Sofian is being held without bond.

• Richard James Dolan III made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Brian Mercy is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 9. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Pedro Gonzalez Jr. made an initial appearance on a harboring a runaway against the parent’s wishes charge and a willful injury charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Jan. 30 with the jury trial set for 9 a.m. on Feb. 12. Bond is set at $7,000 cash.

• Shawn Michael Stewart made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Stewart pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Abigail Avila failed to make an appearance on a leaving the scene of an accident charge, a no insurance charge, a failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way charge and a no valid driver’s license charge and the court found her guilty on all charges. The fine on the leaving the scene charge is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75. The fine on the no insurance is $356 with a $53.40 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $464.40. The fine on the failure to obey a stop sign is $135 with a $20.25 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $210.25. The fine on the no valid driver’s license is $260 with a $39 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $354.

• Kathleen Sue Humphrey made an initial appearance on an unlawful passing of a school bus-first offense charge. Humphrey pleaded guilty and the fine is $345 with a $51.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $456.75.

• Christopher David Hanner made an initial appearance on an assault with intent to cause pain/injury charge. Arch Wilson is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 18 in Magistrate Court.

• Angel Mauricio Fernandez Ibarra made an initial appearance on a possession of cannabidiol-first offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Julia Cutler is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 10. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
