• Juan Carlos Gonzalez Jr. made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a no insurance charge. Mark Torche is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 17.

• Austin Taner Rankin made an initial appearance on a violation of parole charge. Brian Mercy was appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Rankin is being held without bond.

• Justin Patrick Connelly made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The contempt hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 6. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Tupo Laloata made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 25 in Magistrate Court.

• Suzana Bikyeobe made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Julia Cutler is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 25 in Magistrate Court.

• Judith Juma Kalunga made an initial appearance on a failure to maintain control of a vehicle charge and an operating without registration charge. Kalunga pleaded guilty to both charges. On the failure to maintain control the fine is $135 with a $20.25 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $210.25. The fine on the operating without registration is $70 with a $10.50 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $135.50.
