• Edward Dale Wichman made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-first offense charge and an open container charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 25. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Cole Blake Purdy made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge and a voluntary absence from custody charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Purdy is being held without bond. The preliminary hearing on the absence charge is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 23.
• Victor R. Quintanilla Gonzalez made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge, a no valid driver’s license charge and a no insurance charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel on the probation charge. The probation revocation hearing is set for 10 a.m. on March 18. Quintanilla Gonzalez pleaded guilty to the other two charges. The fine on the no valid driver’s license is $260 with a $39 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $354. The fine on the no insurance is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75.
• Richard Baldenegro Martinez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on March 11 in Magistrate Court.
• Kyleigh Ann Ceaser made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on March 5.
• Suzana Bikyeobe made an initial appearance on a trespass-first offense charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on March 11 in Magistrate Court.
• Vayda Marie Hala made an initial appearance on a loud noises from sirens and tires charge. Hala pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Kevin Ventura made an initial appearance on a discharge of firearms charge. Ventura pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Dennis Michael Hughes made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Hughes pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75 plus restitution of $28.01 for $208.76.
