Accidents

• On Tuesday, March 24, a van driven by Robert William Gibbs, 70, of Rhodes, was northbound on Hopkins Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway from the east. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Gibbs van was estimated at $10,000.

• On Thursday, March 19, a car driven by Maxwell Scott McLain, 23, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on 290th Street when it struck a deer that entered the roadway from the north ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the McLain car was estimated at $1,500.

• On Wednesday, March 18, a pickup driven by Mark Duane Albertsen, 52, of Dysart, was southbound on Reed Avenue when it struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Albertsen pickup was estimated at $2,000.
