• Matthew Lee Bradley made an initial appearance on a harassment-first degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on May 29. Bond is set at $15,000 cash in defendant’s name only. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Robert Paul Junck made an initial appearance on a contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order charge. Jennifer Weaver is acting as counsel. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Court. Bond is set at $50,000 cash in defendant’s name only. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Jorge Corona Banderas made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. Corona Banderas pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.
• Hayden James Jones made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on July 22 in Magistrate Court.
• Tyler John Reisinger made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a failure to obey a flashing red light charge and a no insurance charge. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on May 27 in Magistrate Court.
• Jose Antonio Perez Sanchez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on July 15 in Magistrate Court.
• Agustin Ordaz Sanchez made an initial appearance on a no insurance-accident charge. Ordaz Sanchez pleaded guilty and the fine is $645 with a $96.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $796.75.

Arrests
• On Tuesday, May 19, Jorge Corona-Banderas, 35, was arrested for public intoxication-first offense.
• On Tuesday, May 19, Jose Lopez, 22, was arrested on a warrant.
• On Tuesday, May 19, Robert Junck, 38, was arrested on two warrants and for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.
• On Tuesday, May 19, Matthew Bradley, 18, was arrested for harassment-first degree-threaten forcible felony.
• On Tuesday, May 19, Joanna Robbins, 65, was arrested for theft-fifth degree.

Accidents
• On Friday, May 15, a car driven by Linda Nora McCargar, 68, of Gilman, was eastbound on Main Street Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the McCargar car was estimated at $4,000.
• On Thursday, May 14, a car driven by Yilian Fumero Soto, 37, of Marshalltown, was northbound on Marsh Avenue when the driver saw a raccoon in the roadway and took evasive action, lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch where the vehicle collided with a tree. Fumero Soto was warned for failure to maintain control. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Fumero Soto car was estimated at $2,000.
• On Saturday, May 2, an SUV driven by James Ronald Brown, 80, of Eldora, was northbound on Hopkins Avenue when it struck a deer running across the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the BrownSUV was estimated at $10,000.
