Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party in both charges.

• Douglas Regin Thomas made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-third or subsequent offense charge and a possession of marijuana-third or subsequent offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on June 22. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Donald Harvey Schermerhorn made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Schermerhorn is being held without bond.
