• Tremain Lavern Orange made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Orange is being held without bond.
• Winner Kokou Banissan made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on July 20.
• Steven Ray Lund made an initial appearance on a violation of parole charge. Leah Patton is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Lund is being held without bond.
• Rene Martinez made an initial appearance on two counts of a violation of probation charge. Patrick Peters is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set for 11:30 a.m. on July 17. Martinez is being held without bond.
• Michelle Leeann Wark made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Wark pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $109 in court costs for a total of $229.75.
• Jesus Alejandro Garcia made an initial appearance on an assault-with intent to cause pain or injury charge. Patrick Peters is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on July 15 in Magistrate Court. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Naomi Jacqueline Rivera made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on July 20.
• Martin Fikiri made an initial appearance on two counts of a theft-third degree-failure to appear for arraignment charge. The public defender’s office remains as counsel. Fikiri was released on bond.
• Sergio Anthony Hernandez Cerna made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a driving under suspension charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on July 20.

Arrests
• On Monday, June 29, Luke Sears, 40, was arrested for operating while under the influence-second offense.
• On Monday, June 29, Jesus Garcia, 21, was arrested on a warrant charging him with assault-intend to cause pain/injury.
Accidents
• On Sunday, June 21, an SUV driven by Lillyanne Jule Robinson, 37, of Marshalltown, was westbound on Main Street Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Robinson SUV was estimated at $5,000.
• On Monday, June 15, a car driven by Jonathan Mendoza Gonzalez, 18, of Marshalltown, was northbound on Marsh Avenue when it struck a deer that ran onto the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Mendoza Gonzalez car was estimated at $1,900.
• On Wednesday, June 10, an SUV driven by Melissa Rose Harris, 35, of New Providence, was westbound on Main Street in Liscomb when a dog ran to the edge of a yard resulting in the driver swerving in panic going off the roadway to the north, into a yard, vaulting a driveway and ending up striking a light pole in a yard. No injuries were reported. Harris was cited for failure to maintain control and no insurance-accident. Damage to the Harris SUV was estimated at $20,000 while the light pole sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage.
