• Lance Mandell Walker made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-third or subsequent offense charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, an assault on persons in certain occupations charge, an assault on persons in certain occupations-bodily injury charge and a theft-third degree charge. Julia Cutler is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 14. Bond is set at $5,000 cash in defendant's name only. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Javier Guadalupe Perales made an initial appearance on a violation of parolecharge. Patrick Peters is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by the Administrative Law Judge. Perales is being held without bond.
• Jesuomar Rodriguez Colon made an initial appearance on two counts of a contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order charge. Patrick Peters is appointed as counsel. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Court. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Matthew Andrew Rangel made an initial appearance on a burglary-first degree charge and an assault causing bodily injury or mental illness charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 14. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.

• On Monday, Aug. 3, Lance Walker, 46, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense, theft-third degree-enhanced and on a warrant.
• On Monday, Aug. 3, Jesuomar Rodriguez Colon, 28, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.
• On Monday, Aug. 3, Lucille Morley, 20, was arrested for striking fixtures on a public highway, no insurance-accident and failure to maintain control.
• On Monday, Aug. 3, Ermelando Gonzalez Ayala, 57, was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense.
