• Joshua Thomas Warnell made an initial appearance on a kidnapping-first degree-intentionally subject to torture or sexual abuse charge, a sexual abuse-second degree charge, an intimidation with a dangerous weapon-injure/provoke fear charge, a dominion/control of firearm or offensive weapon by felon charge, an assault while participating in a felony charge, a going armed with intent charge, an assault while displaying a dangerous weapon charge and an obstruction of emergency communications charge. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 21. Warnell is being held without bond. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• On Wednesday, Aug. 12, Joshua Warnell, 44, was arrested for sex abuse-second degree-weapon displayed-first offense, possession of firearm or offensive weapon by felon, obstruction of E911, kidnapping-first degree-sexual abuse-torture, intimidation dangerous weapon-intent, going armed with intent, assault with a dangerous weapon and assault while participating in a felony.
• On Wednesday, Aug. 12, Ethan Garrett, 22, was arrested on a warrant.
