• Christine Lynn Palmarez made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge and a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense charge and a possession of marijuana-third or subsequent offense charge. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Palmarez is being held without bond. Brian Mercy is appointed as counsel on the drug charges. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 24. Bond is set at $5,000 cash in defendant's name only. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Nay Lay made an initial appearance on five counts of a contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order charge and a criminal mischief-fifth degree charge. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Juliet Arabella Fernandez made an initial appearance on a pre-trial release violation charge. Pre-trial release is revoked. Bond is set at $42,000 cash in defendant's name only.
• Nolan Durrell Walker made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. Walker pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Andrea Josephine Thompson made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 16 in Magistrate Court. Bond is set at $1,500 cash in defendant's name only.
• Joshua Wyatt Evans made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. A pre-trial conference is set at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 26 in Magistrate Court. Bond is set at $1,500 cash in defendant's name only.
• Kara Marie Johnson made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, an operating a non-registered vehicle charge and a no insurance charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 23 in Magistrate Court.
• Richard Elio Jimenez Casanas made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 28. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Norman H. Schlabach made an initial appearance on an excessive speed charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 23 in Magistrate Court.
• Larry Dean Viles made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. Viles pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
