• Michaele Sheren Tuka made an initial appearance through a Kunama interpreter on an assault with intent to inflict serious injury charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 11. Bond is set at $2,000 cash in defendant's name only. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Michael Joseph Fleck made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge, a driving while revoked charge, a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance charge. Brian Mercy is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 11. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.
• Allen Jerome Williamson made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. Patrick Peters is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is sett for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 11. Bond is set at $2,000 cash.
• Medardo Rodriguez Fajardo made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Mark Olberding is appointed as counsel. The contempt hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 4. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Theresa June Fell made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance charge. Fell pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the driving under suspension is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50. The fine on the no insurance charge is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75.
• Jose Jesus Ramirez Ramirez made an initial appearance on an operating while under the influence-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 11. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety, A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Hanna Ranney Sorenson made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-third or subsequent offense charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, a driving under suspension charge and a speeding charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 21. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Deidre Ann Taylor made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. Jennifer Weaver is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 11. Bond is set at $7,500 cash or surety.
• Jocelyn Sydni Wiese made an initial appearance on an animal neglect-no serious injury or death charge, a rabies vaccination violation charge and a kennel and breeding of dog charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 16 in Magistrate Court.
• Yordany Mena Suarez made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge. Mena Suarez pleaded guilty and the fine is $325 with a $48.75 surcharge and $55 in court costs for a total of $428.75.

• On Sunday, Aug. 30, Edwin Roldan Leiva, 22, was arrested for driving while license is denied, canceled, revoked or suspended; no insurance-no accident and speeding.
• On Friday, Aug. 28, Miko Youngbear, 26, was arrested for violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court.
• On Friday, Aug. 28, William Turner, 63, was arrested for operating while under the influence-second offense.
• On Friday, Aug. 28, Robert Junck, 39, was arrested on a warrant charging him with rabies vaccination violation.
Accident
• On Tuesday, Aug. 25, a car driven by Tyler McShane White, 31, of Marshalltown, was southeast bound on Summit Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the White car was estimated at $3,000.

• On Sunday, Aug. 30, Theresa Fell, 48, was arrested for driving while license is denied, canceled, revoked or suspended and no insurance-no accident.

• On Friday, Aug. 28, Bradley Nichol, 22, was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense, failure to yield upon entering a stop/yield intersection, no valid driver's license, prohibited passing on a bridge/intersection/tunnel, ect., driving while license is denied or revoked and on a warrant.
• On Friday, Aug. 28, Melissa Birch, 47, was arrested for dog at large.
• On Friday, Aug. 28, Elizabeth Elizarraras, 32, was arrested for dog at large.
• On Friday, Aug. 28, Nge Htway, 36, was arrested on a warrant.
