• Canaan Kwan Wilson made an initial appearance on two violation of probation charges, a voluntary absence from custody charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Jennifer Weaver is appointed as counsel for all charges. The probation revocation hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 18. On the new charges the preliminary hearing is set at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 11. Wilson is being held without bond.
• Winner Kokou Banissan made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 11. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.
• Ronda Kay Richmond made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. Patrick Peters is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 21.

Accidents
• On Monday, Aug. 17, a pickup driven by Michael Robert Mendoza, 30, of State Center, was westbound on 295th Street when it swerved to miss a deer that entered the roadway from the south ditch. The Mendoza pickup entered the north ditch near the beginning of a southbound curve and traveled the ditch about 100 yards before coming to rest just before a small creek. The pickup sustained front end damage, but no injuries were reported. Mendoza was cited for no insurance-accident. Damage to the Mendoza pickup was estimated at $4,000.

• On Monday, Aug. 31, Deidre Taylor, 41, was arrested for theft-third degree-enhanced due to priors.
• On Monday, Aug. 31, Michaele Tuka, 35, was arrested for assault with intent to inflict serious injury-no serious injury.
• On Monday, Aug. 31, Dylan Bolar, 18, was arrested on a warrant.
• On Monday, Aug. 31, Winner Banissan, 19, was arrested on a warrant.
