• Shelbie Dea Garcia made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel. Garcia is being held without bond.
• Nicholas Sin Sam Jr. made an initial appearance on 27 counts of a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $30,000 cash. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Kevin Dewayne Thomas made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel. Bond is set at $1,000 cash in defendant's name only.
• Larry Dwayne Simon made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-causing injury or mental illness-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 23. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Edwin E. Roldan Leiva made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, an excessive speed charge and a no insurance charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 14 in Magistrate Court.

• On Wednesday, Sept. 16, Kevin Thomas, 40, was arrested for violation of probation.
