• Zarhona Lanae Farmer made an initial appearance on an assault on persons in certain occupations charge, a domestic abuse assault-injury or mental illness-first offense charge, a spitting in a police vehicle and building charge, a public intoxication charge, an interference with official acts charge and a possession/purchase of alcohol by person 18/19/20-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 5. Bond is set at $8,000 cash in defendant's name only. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Kaley Lyn Gersema made an initial appearance on a criminal mischief-third degree charge. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 5. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.
• Jay Shannon Bear Jr. made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bear is being held without bond.
• Alexander James Conlon made an initial appearance on a theft-second degree charge and a burglary-third degree charge. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 5. Bond is set at $12,000 cash in defendant's name only.

• On Wednesday, Sept. 23, Todd Stines, 62, was arrested for operating while under the influence-second offense.
• On Wednesday, Sept. 23, Jay Bear Jr., 31, was arrested on a warrant charging him with violation of probation.
