• John Willet Miller made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The probation revocation hearing is set at 10 a.m. on Oct. 12. Miller is being held without bond.
• Edward James Murray made an initial appearance on an assault committed by a person against whom a protective order was issued charge, a domestic abuse assault-injury or mental illness-first offense charge and a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Logan Kelleher is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing on the new domestic abuse charges is set at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 12. Bond is set at $5,000 cash. The contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.
• Victor Jesus Martinez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, an excessive speed charge and an operating while under the influence-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 22. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Eric Lemus made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 22.
• Camile Avion Patton made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge, a dark windows/windshield charge, a speeding charge and a no insurance charge. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 22.
• Luis Jesus Ordaz made an initial appearance on a person under 21 using tobacco/vape products-first offense charge. Ordaz pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with court costs of $60 for a total of $165.
• Nevaeh Sky Jefferson made an initial appearance on a reckless driving charge and a no valid driver's license charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 14 in Magistrate Court.
• Innocent Ishangulungu made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 21 in Magistrate Court.
• Benito Miguel Gonzalez Banderas made an initial appearance on a person under 21 using tobacco/vape products-first offense charge, no valid driver's license charge and a possession of marijuana-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 22. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.
• Jacqueline Kassandra Fonseca made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 14 in Magistrate Court.
• Kevin Joe Switzer failed to appear on a criminal mischief-fifth degree charge and the court found him guilty. The fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.
• Milie Moreno Garcia made an initial appearance on two counts of a livestock neglect charge. The preliminary hearing is waived.
• Pedro Garcia Alvarez made an initial appearance on two counts of a livestock neglect charge. The preliminary hearing is waived.
• Brenda Jean McKee made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge. The case was dismissed by the court with court costs of $55 assessed.
