Sept. 30

• Joel Hernandez Guido made an initial appearance for two counts of a failure to appear for a pre-trial conference ahead of a jury trial charge. Tyler Haberman remains as counsel. The pre-trial conference and jury trial will be rescheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $2,000 cash.

• Manuel Patlan Corona made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-second offense charge, an interference with official acts charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, a bicycle lights required charge, a bicycle or other instrument charge, a violation of probation charge and a voluntary absence from custody charge. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel for all charges. The preliminary hearing on the new charges is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 9. Bond is set at $2,300 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court. The absence from custody hearing is scheduled at the same date and time as the new charges. Patlan Corona is being held without bond.

The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. There is no bond on this charge.

• Stephen Robert Szabo made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The probation revocation hearing is set for 2 p.m. on Oct. 12. Bond is set at $10,000 cash in defendant's name only.

• David Hart made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge, two counts of a driving while barred charge and a no insurance charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 20. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

• Kaydin James Moore made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Moore pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Charles William Diller failed to appear on a driving under suspension charge and the court found him guilty. The fine is $250 with a $37.50 with a $60 in court costs for a total of $347.50.

• Alexis Marai Umbaugh made an initial appearance on a person under 21 using tobacco or vape products charge. Umbaugh pleaded guilty and the fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Donald Gene Liger failed to apper on a rabies vaccination violation charge and the court found him guilty. The fine is $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $180.75.

• Nashyla Dominique Preston made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Locan Kelleher is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 28 in Magistrate Court.

• Lah Hser Ku made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-second offense charge, a person ineligible to carry a dangerous weapon charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a failure to obey a traffic control device charge. The public defender's office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 20. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Sept. 29, Joel Hernandez-Guido, 19, was arrested for driving while barred-habitual offender.

• On Tuesday, Sept. 29, Alexis Garcia Vazquez, 20, was arrested for criminal mischief-second degree, interference with official acts and eluding while exceeding the speed limit by 25 mph or more.

• On Tuesday, Sept. 29, Manuel Patlan Corona, 34, was arrested for interference with official acts, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance-second offense and on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Sept. 29, Angel Garcia, 19, was arrested for eluding while exceeding the speed by 25 mph or more.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Sept. 29, Alannah Perez, 25, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license is revoked.

• On Tuesday, Sept. 29, Wayne Darby, 35, was arrested on a warrant charging him with four counts of child endangerment-abandon bodily injury and child endangerment.

Accidents

• On Saturday, Sept. 26, a pickup driven by Nathan Adam Ball, of Colo, was eastbound on Iowa Avenue West from the intersection with Highland Acres Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway from the south ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Ball pickup was estimated at $6,000.
