Film series for adults continues at the library

The library film series for adults continues at 2 p.m. on April 24 in the Marshalltown Public Library’s community meeting rooms.

The movie license forbids the use of film titles in publicity; therefore, the library invites people to play the movie guessing game.

This film is a 1954 American romantic comedy-drama directed by Billy Wilder, adapted for the screen by Wilder, Samuel A. Taylor and Ernest Lehman from Taylor’s 1953 play. The picture stars Humphrey Bogart, Audrey Hepburn and William Holden. This was Wilder’s last film released by Paramount Pictures, ending a 12-year business relationship between him and the company.

Join film critic, Tom LaVille, for a discussion after the movie, as well as free popcorn and lemonade. This event is free and open to the public, aged 18 and over. For more information, or for the title of the film, call the library’s Information Desk at 641-754-5738, ext. 4.

This event is sponsored by Friends of the Marshalltown Public Library.
