Over the weekend, members of the American Legion Riders Post 46 granted one last wish for Gary Cooling of Le Grand, who is in the final stages of cancer. The Riders picked up Cooling from Iowa River Hospice and escorted him around Marshalltown. Cooling, a U.S. Army veteran, was a motorcycle enthusiast, and has been riding motorcycles for roughly 50 years. Unable to ride on his own anymore, the Riders arranged for Cooling to ride in a sidecar, as family and friends gathered to support him.
