TIMES-REPUBLICAN

Lennox Employees Credit Union and Members 1st Community Credit Union, together are announcing the availability of disaster grants from the Iowa Credit Union Foundation to members of both credit unions who have been displaced from their homes due to the recent tornado and have a financial need for assistance. Grant applications can be obtained from Lennox Employees Credit Union and Members 1st Community Credit Union. Some restrictions do apply, contact the credit union for more information.

“We are humbled to be able to assist the credit union members in the Marshalltown area impacted by the recent tornado,” said Jim Neiderhauser, acting executive director of the ICUF. “If members have been displaced from their homes and have a need for financial assistance, we want to help. It’s the right thing to do and supports our mission to champion the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’.”

ICUF raises money throughout the year to support credit union members in times of need. Disaster grants are one of several types of grants and scholarships available to credit union members through ICUF.
