Man arrested for violating no contact order

A Marshalltown man was arrested by Marshalltown police and taken to the Marshall County Jail earlier this week for contempt-violation of no contact or protective order, according to MPD and Marshall County District Court records.

Cole Blake Purdy, 18, had been arrested earlier this month for domestic abuse, and violated the no contact order issued by the court, Capt. Brian Batterson of the MPD said.

A no contact order placed against and individual means he or she can not contact the victim of the domestic abuse directly or indirectly. That also prohibits contact by social media. Purdy remains in Marshall County Jail without bond.
