RACOM Then

T-R PHOTO BY EMILY BARSKE
The late RACOM Corp. President Greg Miller ordered architects to design a building which would withstand a direct-hit from a tornado and winds up to 150 mph. Miller’s foresight and wisdom proved sound. Situated in the 200 block of West State Street, the building was in the tornado’s path, and RACOM officials estimated winds reached 144-mph. But not long after the July 19, EF-3 tornado lifted-off, company President Mike Miller said not one of the company 10,000 customers in its critical communication network had experienced interrupted service interruption.

Starting at $4.38/week.
