Drug Task Force arrests woman for meth possession
A Marshalltown woman was arrested Wednesday by the Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force on two felony drug counts, according to criminal complaints and affidavits filed in Marshall County District Court.
The drug task force executed a search warrant on Sheila Kim Brown, 60, at a property in the 1000 block of Iowa Avenue West. Upon entry, an officer observed Brown holding a small bag. When searched, officers located a large number of small baggies commonly used to package narcotics and a larger baggie containing approximately 30.43 grams of methamphetamine.
Several items of used drug paraphernalia were also located. Brown was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a Class B felony; failure to affix drug stamp, a Class D felony and keeping premises or vehicle for controlled substance violation.
She was transported to Marshall County Jail. At her initial appearance a magistrate appointed her a public defender. The defendant’s preliminary hearing is Nov. 9. Bond is $25,000 cash only.
