A Montezuma woman was arrested by Marshalltown police and taken to Marshall County Jail

earlier this week on charges of domestic abuse assault cause bodily injury.

Siara Marie Broadston, 20, was found to be primary aggressor in an incident in the 400 block of East State Street according to a criminal complaint and affidavit filed in Marshall County District Court. The complaint said Broadston assaulted the victim causing injury.

A magistrate issued a no contact order, meaning the defendant can not contact the victim. She was later released from jail on her own recognizance. Broadston’s preliminary hearing is Jan. 2.
