State auditor library program postponed
A scheduled visit from State Auditor Rob Sand to the Marshalltown Public Library has been postponed.
Sand was set to speak at the library’s State Government Lunch and Learn program noon Tuesday, but an important engagement came up and forced a postponement until August or September, auditor’s office Communications Director Andrew Turner said.
The program was meant to discuss the state auditor’s role in the state government and oversight of tax dollars. Sand was also set to discuss his previous role with the Iowa Attorney General’s office and cases he worked there, including uncovering a lottery scandal.
