Adoption Spotlight: Brooks
The Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown currently has more than 40 animals who need loving homes and caring families. This includes dogs, cats and even some smaller critters like guinea pigs. Here is the adoption spotlight of the week: Brooks.
Brooks was originally brought to the Animal Rescue League as a stray, but he was adopted for awhile and then his new owners could no longer take care of him so he was brought back to the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown. He has been with the Animal Rescue League since June 5, 2019.
Brooks is an 8-year-old male beagle mix, he is neutered. Even with his older age, Brooks has no major health concerns other than some dental issues.
Chris Briney, a staff member at the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown, said Brooks is really laid back and overall a good family dog.
“He loves to be around people, playing with toys and likes to take naps in the sun,” Briney said.
Brooks gets along well with other dogs as well as cats and is great with kids and is just very easy going, according to Briney. Brooks has even been on visits to nursing homes before.
“I hope he finds a good family, he would do well with a family with kids because he still has a lot of pep and is really playful,” Briney said.
The adoption fee for Brooks is $75. Those interested in giving Brooks a forever home can pick up an adoption application at the front desk. A downloadable copy of the application is also available at www.arlmarshalltown.com.
