Big Brothers Big Sisters celebrate move

T-R PHOTO BY MIKE DONAHEY
Supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters including executive director Lynne Carrol, line up to order tenderloin sandwhiches and other fare from Clare’s Tenderloin Truck of Marshaltown on Friday. The business was helping BBBS celebrate the grand opening of BBBS offices across the street at 31 S. First St. The not-for-profit organization which links caring adults with kids seeking mentors, was previously housed in an East Main Street office. Carroll said she and clients were excited with the move, which gives the organization more public visibility. Carroll was also thrilled with recent support by auto dealer Dave Wright of Marshalltown. The business will donate $50 to BBBS for every vehicle sold in July and $10 for every test drive if BBBS is mentioned. The business has also placed donation buckets in the repair service area at both locations. For more information about BB/BS contact Carroll at 641-753-6370, or visit www.heartofiowa.bigs.org
