Cobb

A local man was arrested by Marshalltown police Monday on charges of assault causing bodily injury, interference with official acts, and contempt in violation of no contact order according to court documents.

Zakk J. Cobb, 20, was taken into custody after officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of West Boone Street. Officers determined Cobb struck the victim in the neck, resulting in the victim seeking medical attention. During the investigation Cobb resisted by running away. He was apprehended and taken to Marshall County Jail. A magistrate issued a no contact order against Cobb and appointed him a public defender. He remains in Marshall County Jail on $1,000 cash or surety bond. His preliminary hearing is Aug. 30.
