Indian summer aids absentee voting

Monday marked the first day Marshall County voters could vote absentee at the Marshall County Annex, 101 E. Main St. Commissioner of Elections and Assistant Marshall County Auditor Cindy Reutzel said a number of county residents took advantage of the opportunity. Voters will see a ballot with candidates for the Marshalltown Community School District Board, Iowa Valley Community College District Board and Marshalltown City Council on their ballots. Also a $32-million IVCCD bond question.

MCSD voters will also decide on a revenue purpose statement for the district’s use of Secure and Advanced Vision for Education (SAVE) 1-cent state sales tax funds for infrastructure projects.
