Man arrested for felony ID theft, forgery
Baylee Austin Waldo, 24, Gilman, was arrested by Marshalltown police Friday and taken to jail on forgery, identity theft, and fifth-degree theft charges.
The charges stem from an incident last month when Waldo allegedly forged the victim’s signature on a check at a Marshalltown financial institution, according to the police complaint. Forgery is a Class D felony and identity theft under $1,500 an aggravated misdemeanor. Waldo’s initial court appearance is Wednesday.
