It is clear actions speak louder than words for Marshalltown natives Luke and Sam Fogle.

The brothers believe so strongly in their home town’s future they made two major business investments in three years.

The first was in February 2017, when they opened a flooring sales and installation business in Meadow Lane Shopping Center, 1712 S. Center St.

Carpet, hardwood flooring, tile and vinyl are sold at the location.

The brothers also offer installation services for floors, countertops and backsplashes in any room in the home, commercial building with free estimates.

Luke and Sam Fogle are pictured with carpeting and other flooring samples shortly after they opened their business in 2017. Since then, they moved from a smaller suite in Meadow Lane Shopping Center to a much large one while expanding their product lines.

They combine nearly 23 years flooring experience with personal service.

The second investment came to fruition late last year when they decided to purchase the local Cabinet Shoppe formerly owned by Mark Ross.

“Mark approached us about buying his business,” Sam said. “We looked upon it as a good business opportunity and came to terms. We finalized details on the sale late last month.”

Since then Luke and Sam were busy moving inventory from the Cabinet Shoppe’s 13th Street location to Meadow Lane Mall.

Sam said there has been a lot of “heavy lifting.”

On Friday they were setting up cabinets displays and related products.

On Monday, they will welcome the public into their cabinet showroom.

“We are an exclusive Bertch Cabinet dealer,” Luke said. “We carry a wide variety of their cabinets. Not only do we believe in investing locally, we are also pleased to offer products made in the U.S.A.”

Another American product sold is the Onyx Collection of shower bases, pans and tub-to shower conversions.

They are made in Kansas.

In addition to cabinets, installer Roger Ballard and designer Kathy Deines — who are two well-known and respected Cabinet Shoppe employees — joined the Fogle Brothers team.

“I am excited to be working at Fogle Brothers,” Deines said.
