Ricardo Ochoa Ramirez, 33, of Marshalltown died Friday after an accident Wednesday that injured two others.
Ramirez was flown to Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines and Antonio Guzman, 48, and Carly Streets, 17, were also injured and transferred to a Marshalltown hospital.
A service was held for Ramirez Monday evening at Grace Church. He is survived by his wife, Mayra, and nine children.
Lincoln Way was closed to traffic for several hours after the two-vehicle rollover crash, according to Marshalltown Police Chief Mike Tupper.
Guzman of Marshalltown, lost control of his white 2000 Nissan XTR SUV because of an ice-covered roadway and went over the center line hitting a 2011 Chevrolet Cruz driven by Streets, according to the Iowa State Patrol accident report.
Guzman's car rolled onto the edge of the road and landed on the passenger side. Ramirez, a passenger, was thrown from the vehicle as it was rolling.
The MPD and Iowa State Patrol are investigating the accident that occurred just after 7 a.m. near Lincoln Towers.
