Open photography returns to fair
contributed photo Fairgoers enjoy looking at the photos entered in the 2019 Central Iowa Fair competition. Photo entries for this year’s fair are due on Wednesday, July 7.
The annual Open Class Photography Exhibit will be a part of the Central Iowa Fair again this year, and residents of any age with an interest in photography who live in Marshall County or surrounding counties are eligible to enter their photos.
“Open Class Photography is a popular category for entries at the Fair,” exhibit organizer Mary Giese said. “Photographers appreciate the opportunity to receive feedback on their pictures from a panel of knowledgeable judges, and fairgoers enjoy looking at the variety and quality of photos submitted each year.”
Photography entries are due between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on July 7, at the ISU Extension and Outreach Office, 2608 S. Second St.
This year, all submitted photos will be displayed in the air-conditioned Activities Building at the fairgrounds as part of the Open Class Exhibits during the fair from July 13-17.
