Karl Chevrolet has purchased Dave Wright Buick, GMA, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram of Marshalltown.

Through the purchase, Carl Moyer of Karl Chevrolet will add an additional Buick, GMC dealership, as well as Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram to his business.

“I started in business on Jan. 9, 1978, opening Karl Chevrolet,” Moyer said. “This business has been very good to us and today we continue to add to our Karl Family of offerings to Iowans. July marks another key benchmark in our expansion with the acquisition of Dave Wright dealerships located in Marshalltown. This only extends our ability to serve more Iowans across the state.”

Since 2017, Karl Chevrolet has bought two other GM dealerships – Karl Chevrolet of Stuart and Karl Chevrolet, Buick, GMC of Webster City. The Stuart dealership has since undergone a multi-million dollar expansion and renovation into a state-of-the-art full-service business.

The Webster City business will relocate to a larger location, which will allow for expanded service.
