Shelly Anne Tuttle, 48, of Marshalltown, died Saturday evening from a motorcycle accident.

The accident, which is under investigation, occurred at 9:22 p.m. near the intersection of Wallace Avenue east of Marshalltown.

Law enforcement said Tuttle, who was driving the 2007 Honda VT600CD, was eastbound on Main Street Road when she was hit from behind by a 2013 Ford Escape. Tuttle was thrown and died from injuries sustained.

The Marshalltown Police Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall County EMS and Green Mountain EMS responded.
